Removals Team Leader

NO’ OF POSITIONS:      2

LOCATION:                        Various (Based from our Newcastle Head Office)

REPORTING TO:           General Manager

HOURS:                              40 Hours per Week minimum

SALARY:                              Very Competitive

Reporting Relationships:

The jobholder will report to a Senior Manager

The role of Team Leader is to manage, inspire, motivate and support the porter team in the delivery of an exceptional customer experience and undertaking a first class move every time. The successful candidate(s) will lead by example and be aligned to the Management Teams goals and future vision. Experience is essential to be considered for this role.

Minimum Criteria

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the removal industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • All paper work to be completed accurately on all jobs.
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible and willing to work until needed at busy times to meet the business & customer needs.
  • Able to train and develop less experienced and new team members.
  • To take leadership when offsite and ensure the job is executed properly.
  • Problem solving ability – have the foresight to resolve minor issues and show initiative.
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ensure yourself and your team adhere to the Quality Standards and Information Security standards at all times.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks in full and to a high standard (without the requirement to revisit).
  • Able to think on your feet and not be reliant on senior manager instruction
  • Driving license is essential

Removals Porter

Overall purpose of the job

The Removals Porter is responsible for packing, unpacking, delivery and collection of items, delivery and installation of furniture to the satisfaction of the customer, in accordance with procedure.

  • To ensure that all deliveries and collections are completed on time, to the required company standard and to the satisfaction of the internal or external customer.
  • To plan daily delivery schedules and equipment requirements to meet the expectation of the job.
  • To establish good relationships with customers.
  • To deliver, collect and install goods to customers in accordance with their wishes.
  • To present a professional image at all times.
  • To ensure all stock and clients personal effects are handled and managed in the correct manner to minimise damage.
  • To maintain the depot and all equipment to the agreed standard when necessary.
  • Driving license is essential
